Due Punishment Shall Fall
This is a poster design that compares the first book of Ovid’s Metamorphoses with contemporary environmental issues, from ‘Creation’ to ‘The Flood’

I started this project to try and explore the correlation between the events of the modern day climate crisis and Ovid’s classical narrative of the downfall of mankind.
I think it’s both fascinating and important to reflect on the repeating patterns of human nature throughout history, and how sometimes looking into stories of the past can help us to understand a path to a better future.
The composition and format of this design came from sketchbook exploration of classical artworks of the myths. I liked the ways the lines and shapes of the figures were slotting in with each other, and the impact of the limited colour palettes.
