Gerald and Other Animals
This sculpture was created and painted as part of The Tortoise Takeover - a 2023 Wild in Art trail in Jersey, supporting Jersey Zoo. Gerald and Other Animals celebrates the life and legacy of naturalist Gerald Durrell, featuring portraits of Durrell alongside species he and the zoo he founded helped to protect. The piece highlights his lifelong dedication to wildlife conservation and the remarkable animals whose futures he changed.
