Doomsday Diet
“Doomsday Diet” was a collaborative project with Josh Crompton, Sam Evans and Anna Oliver. It’s a recipe book that begins with ordinary meals that become progressively more ridiculous as the book goes on and the climate warms.
Dimensions: 240mm x 310mm
Medium: Digital (printed and bound into a book)
The following pages are those that I researched and produced for the project. They explain the science and environmental consequences of each meal.
I really enjoyed coming up with different visual metaphors to express the information I found, and that fit in thematically with the book.
The Rest of the Book …
I was in charge of the overall design of the project, planning out the compositions of the pages and most of the overall concept and structure.
Below is the flow of pages for the first recipe in the book, which provides an example of how the rest of the book is arranged.
The book is divided into three parts…
I’m very fond of this project, I think it has the potential to be really impactful. I hope to return to it and complete the book at some stage in the future.
